



The Ho’oulu Aina Foundation
The Ho’oulu Aina Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt foundation that was formed
in 2008 to provide a platform for research that includes both socio-cultural and
economic factors in determining best environmental practices, provide a forum
for public information, and attract and retain best industry while providing an
opportunity for exposing our young to the education and science that underlies
determining “best practice”.
To Further those ends the foundation proposes:
(a) To engage in and support scientific research into natural resource use,
environmental protection practices, and ecosystem interactions
(b) To provide pubic education of scientific findings relative to natural
resources including complex ecosystems
(c) To provide programs to promote better utilization of natural resources to
individuals and communities worldwide
(d) To provide aid to communities by attracting and retaining industry that
utilize best available environmental and ecosystem practice.
Archeological and Anthropological research is to be supported in order to help
describe, define, and analyze previous cultural concepts and practices relative
to ecosystems
Preservation of unique ecosystems is supported
Economic valuation of resource use, ecosystem preservation, and natural
resources is supported
Programs to disseminate valuation of ecosystems and natural resources are
supported
